Job Description:
Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will be
responsible for establishing and leading the Commercial Vehicle and Used Car
Finance vertical, driving it towards a target of scaling to a ?200 Cr business
within two years. This individual will oversee all aspects of the business,
including securing RTP Approvals, branch setup, team identification, policy
formation, and the establishment of new revenue streams. The candidate will
work closely with the founders of the NBFC to build the strategic roadmap while
also executing tactical steps to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
the establishment of the Commercial Vehicle and Used Car Finance business
from scratch.
- Obtain
necessary RTP Approvals for business operations.
- Identify
and lease suitable real estate for branch locations.
- Build
and manage a high-performing team, including Sales Executives, Credit
Managers, and Operations Managers.
- Demonstrate
the ability to hire a team that delivers results from day one to minimize
the impact on the go-to-market timeline.
- Work
with Product and tech teams to help deliver the technology infrastructure
required for the business.
- Develop,
implement, and oversee policies pertaining to Credit, Operations, and Risk
Management to ensure consistency and compliance across all branches.
- Identify
and establish new revenue streams, including insurance products for
vehicles and borrowers to enhance profitability.
- Focus
on generating high yields and creating a sustainable business model while
maintaining controlled DPD (Days Past Due) in the portfolio.
- Foster
partnerships with Direct Selling Agents (DSAs) and other vendors for
valuation, marketing, and technical support.
- Develop
and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Monitor
market trends and competitor activities to optimize our offerings.
- Ensure
compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines in all operations.
- Report
on business performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior
management and collaborate closely with the founders to shape the
strategic direction and tactical execution of the business.
- Lead
the state for this business in due course, taking on increased
responsibilities and strategic oversight.
- Leverage
relevant connections in the industry to enhance business opportunities and
partnerships.

track record in a senior sales or operational role within the finance
sector, specifically in commercial vehicle and/or used car financing.
- Strong
understanding of regulatory policies and procedures in the financial
services industry.
- Established
network of relevant industry connections to facilitate business growth.
- Experience
in building and scaling a business or branch setup from the ground up.
- Excellent
leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
- Proven
experience in creating and implementing operational policies, particularly
around Credit and Risk Management.
- Ability
to identify and develop new revenue streams, especially in insurance.
- Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to execute tactical steps while developing
a strategic roadmap.
