Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Head of Architecture with 10+ years of professional experience, specifically in Cluster Development and Urban Redevelopment Projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural function from concept to completion—ensuring design excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal teams and external consultants. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, including feasibility planning, design development, authority approvals, execution oversight, and the final handover of homes to clients.


Job Description:

Ø  Specialized in Cluster development projects across Greater Mumbai including Mira-Bhayandar & Thane.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of DCR (Development Control Regulations), redevelopment policies, feasibility studies, and the overall architectural design process for old buildings, societies, and slum rehabilitation projects


Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Project Feasibility & Planning:

· Assess land parcels for cluster development potential in alignment with DCPR / UDCPR regulations.

· Prepare development feasibility reports including FSI potential, layout configuration, and unit mix strategy.

· Collaborate with planning, legal, and liaison teams for due diligence and pre-approval analysis.

 

Ø  Architectural Design & Drawings:

· Lead the conceptual and schematic design for cluster projects ensuring optimal space utilization and compliance.

· Review and finalize master plans, layout plans, unit plans, and GFC drawings.

· Ensure seamless integration of structural, MEP, and external development components.

Ø  Regulatory Approvals & Liaison Work:


· Coordinate with government authorities (Municipal Corporations, MHADA, SRA, UDCPR offices, etc.) for timely approvals.

· Ensure design documentation is in compliance with zoning laws, fire norms, environmental clearances, and other regulatory frameworks.

· Support the liaison team in submission, follow-up, and tracking of approval progress.

 

Ø  Stakeholder Coordination:

· Interface with developers, society committees, tenants, and government representatives.

· Address design concerns and present architectural concepts effectively to stakeholders.

· Conduct project presentations, society meetings, and authority briefings.


Ø  Execution & Site Coordination:

 

· Interface with project execution teams to ensure accurate implementation of approved designs.

·Conduct periodic site visits and technical audits to verify adherence to architectural specifications.

·Resolve design discrepancies and offer practical solutions in coordination with consultants and contractors.

 

Ø  Sustainability & Innovation:

 

·Promote sustainable and smart design practices aligned with environmental standards and modern living needs.

·Integrate green building features, passive design strategies, and efficient material use.

·Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and tools for continuous improvement.

· Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institute.

· 10-15 years of architectural experience, with a strong portfolio in cluster or redevelopment projects.

· In-depth knowledge of DCPR/UDCPR regulations, cluster development norms, and approval processes in urban areas (preferably Mumbai, Thane, or Pune).

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and MS Office Suite.

· Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
