Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Retail Sales to lead our retail sales strategy across all tier one cities in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the FMCG category, a proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams, and exceptional organizational and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for MT and general trade (GT) channels to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
• Identify growth opportunities and create action plans to capitalize on them.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.
2. Team Building and Management:
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing retail sales team.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture. • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
3. Retail Partner Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including premium MT outlets and GT channels.
• Negotiate terms, agreements, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and effective issue resolution.
4. Organizational and Negotiation Skills:
• Implement efficient sales processes and systems to streamline operations and improve productivity.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with retail partners.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to retail sales activities.
5. Market Expansion:
• Drive market expansion initiatives in tier one cities across India.
• Identify and exploit new market opportunities to increase brand visibility and market share.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to support new product launches and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in retail sales within the FMCG category.
• Proven track record of building and managing successful sales teams.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across tier one cities in India.
