Criteria
-10+ Years experience in handling Warehousing and Logistics for a large FMCG / Distribution Company
- Advanced Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Logistics
- Work Experience in UAE is preferred
- Experience in Distribution would be preferred
- Age bracket between 35 to 45 is preferred
- Six Sigma / Lean Management skills would be added advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Hands on experience in an ERP environment is mandatory
Candidate will be heading the Warehousing and Logistics Function. Company has various warehouses across the Emirates and the incumbent’s responsibilities will cover all the Warehousing and Fulfilment Centers across the Emirates
Objective of the Role :
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Key Deliverables :

Fulfilment of Customer Order (OTIF) :
- Defining clear road map for improving the existing OTIF
- Executing the defined action points
- Deliver consistently high levels of OTIF (>98%)
Inventory Management :
-Maintaining proper inventory buffers.
-Cycle counting process implementation to ensure Inventory accuracy.
-Preventive measures to control Expiry / Near Expiry / At risk inventory.
-Managing the salvaging operations.
-Coordinating with inter-company stakeholders on inventory management.
Receiving, Dispatch, Returns & Fleet Management :
-Manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing, invoicing, etc activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn
-Dispatch to be aligned to the OTIF levels defined as per customer requirements
-Ensure dispatch and logistics process is followed properly including invoicing, packing, sale returns, delivery, POD, system updation, etc
-Manage the Fleet to achieve utilization efficiencies thereby driving cost leadership
Continuous Improvement :
-Lay out Continuous Improvement Program
