Job Description: Business Development Executive - Environmental
Consultancy

Position Overview: The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in identifying, researching, and generating new business opportunities for our environmental consultancy services. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to identify potential clients, understand their needs, and present suitable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental consultancy services and a proven track record in lead generation and business development
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research and Analysis:
o Conduct thorough market research to identify new business
opportunities and market trends in the environmental consultancy sector.
o Analyse competitor activities, industry developments, and
potential client needs to refine business strategies.
2. Lead Generation:
o Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels,
including online research, industry events, networking, and referrals.
o Develop and maintain a database of potential clients and key
industry contacts.
3. Client Engagement:
o Initiate contact with potential clients through emails, phone
calls, and meetings to introduce our services and understand their needs.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
to foster long-term business partnerships.
4. Proposal Development:
o Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals
and presentations that address the specific needs of potential clients.
o Ensure proposals are compelling, competitive, and aligned with
the company’s capabilities and objectives.
5. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Contribute to the development of business development strategies
and plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
o Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and
performance against targets.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement
lead generation campaigns and promotional activities.
o Coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless transition from
lead generation to project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business
Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant
certification is a plus.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business
development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the environmental consultancy
sector.
· Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental consultancy
services, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
· Skills:
o Excellent research and analytical skills to identify market
trends and opportunities.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
engage with clients and stakeholders.
o Proven ability to generate leads, develop client relationships,
and close sales.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
