Job Description :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development person with expertise in Debt Syndication and Debt Restructuring to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to originate, structure, and syndicate debt solutions for corporate clients. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide tailored debt solutions and support distressed debt restructuring efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our firm while expanding our portfolio of debt-related products.

v  Debt Syndication:

o   Originate, structure, and close debt syndication transactions across a variety of sectors (corporates, infrastructure, energy, etc.).

o   Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, institutional investors, and other stakeholders.

o   Identify and analyse potential financing opportunities for clients, ensuring the optimal syndication structure is created.

o   Lead the negotiation and execution of debt syndication deals, ensuring terms align with client and firm objectives.

o   Conduct thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to support decision-making.

v  Debt Restructuring:

o   Work with distressed clients to understand their financial challenges and develop restructuring solutions to optimize capital structure.

o   Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to assess, negotiate, and implement debt restructuring plans.

o   Manage communication with creditors, legal teams, and other stakeholders during the restructuring process.

o   Monitor the performance of restructured deals and advise clients on potential adjustments to maximize outcomes.

v  Client Relationship Management:

o   Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

o   Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to generate business and foster trust

v  Market Intelligence and Strategy:

o   Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions affecting debt markets, syndications, and restructurings.

o   Stay updated on competitive landscape and assist in identifying new business opportunities

v  Collaboration:

o   Work closely with internal teams, to ensure seamless execution of deals.

o   Collaborate with senior leadership to refine business development strategies and grow the Company’s debt syndication and restructuring business

Skills :

  • Education:
    • CFA, MBA, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business development, debt syndication, debt restructuring, or investment banking.
    • Previous experience in a financial advisory firm, investment bank, or consulting firm focused on debt syndication and restructuring
    • Proven track record in originating, structuring, and closing debt transactions (syndications or restructuring) across different sectors.
    • Strong understanding of financial analysis, capital markets, and debt instruments.
    • Experience working with distressed assets and navigating complex restructuring negotiations.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
    • High proficiency in financial modelling, due diligence, and risk assessment.
    • Solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to debt and restructuring.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
