DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for achieving monthly and annual production targets.
• Responsible for all activities of Melting in induction Furnace for all steel grades.
• Familiar with megatherm, electrotherm, and inductotherm furnaces.
• Responsible for smooth operation of CCM
• Good knowledge of Pouring of liquid metal.
• Continuous monitoring of quality of scrap by coordinating with scrap graders and scrap suppliers.
• Should know the Charging calculation for various grades of steel.
• Should be able to Prepare documents related to the processes.
• Should be able to to maintain quality of all steel grades.
• Should be familiar with Microstructure examination.
• Reviewing the technical specifications with respect to quality assurance of raw materials.
• Ensure planning & supervision of maintenance activities and proper utilization of available resources during planned downtime.
• Excellent in process documentation for continual improvement /Technology advancement.
• Monitoring of operational efficiency & effectiveness.
• Spares and equipment management related to production.
• Good coordination with inter dept like Quality, Maintenance, Electrical, CCM, billet yard, rolling mill, oxygen plant, Store.
• Coordination with Purchase dept for procurement of the spares/consumable’s equipment.
• Planning and implementing preventive & breakdown maintenance schedules of machinery improving overall reliability of equipment & system to control down time.
• Reviewing and evaluating technical offers, technical discussions/clarifications, negotiations and finalization of technical issues.
• Should have Clear concepts for production optimization, yield improvement.
• Focusing on optimization of process parameters and initiating process improvements for achieving cost reduction and productivity targets.
• Team oriented and should build a good working environment in plant. Stop unsafe practice in the plant.
• Good English communication

Skills:

• Ed: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Mech/Metallurgy Engg, Electrical Engg.
• Exp: Minimum 7-10 Years in steel

KEY SKILLS

• 20TON Induction Furnace process knowledge.
• 6/11 continuous casting machine process knowledge.
• AOD process knowledge.
• Knowledge about various grades of scrap, various grades of steel.
• Sound knowledge in melting process, and quality related issues.
• Delay analysis (RCA), production/melting plan.
• Knowledge of shredder production and type of scrap to be fed.
• Close control capability over consumption of consumables, spares.
• Production Reports generation daily, weekly, monthly.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
