About the Role: The Head of Accounts and Taxation (AGM level) will oversee all core accounting and financial functions, providing strategic and operational leadership across accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance. This role requires a highly skilled Chartered Accountant with more than 6 years of experience, exceptional analytical skills, and strong attention to detail. The HOD will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely compliance with statutory obligations, and proactive financial planning. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting and Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 2. Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities. 3. Tax Compliance: Coordinate the preparation, filing, and compliance of various tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other statutory obligations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements. 4. Financial Forecasting and Budgeting: Supervise the development of financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights into financial performance and supporting strategic planning. 5. Working Capital Management: Collaborate with departments to optimize working capital, including managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels. 6. Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets, enhance the accuracy of financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. 7. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support operational needs and address financial aspects of business operations. 8. Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, ensuring professional growth and alignment with organizational goals. Key Skills and Experience: 1. Experience: Chartered Accountant with over 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxation, preferably in a leadership or senior managerial role. 2. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Strong proficiency in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions. 3. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. 4. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing financial statements, tax filings, and compliance reports. 5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting financial data to stakeholders. 6. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team, with the capacity to build strong relationships across the organization. 7.
