The Director – Debt will be a core member of our Investment Banking team, working closely with senior management on all aspects of the business—ranging from origination and execution of debt transactions to managing strategic relationships across the lending ecosystem. The role requires strong relationship-building abilities, deep knowledge of debt capital markets, and a passion for impact sectors such as Financial Inclusion, Affordable Education, Healthcare, Climate Finance, Renewable Energy, Women
Empowerment, and Waste Management.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Raising / arranging capital and placement of debt securities to lenders.
• Lead the end-to-end execution of debt transactions, including structuring, lender outreach, negotiation, documentation, and closing.
• Arrange and raise capital through placement of debt instruments with Banks, NBFCs, DFIs, and other financial institutions.
• Develop and pitch tailored financing solutions to clients based on their strategic and operational needs.
• Manage lender relationships and maintain a strong institutional network across commercial banks, NBFCs, DFIs, and foreign lenders.
• Provide guidance on regulatory, financial, and strategic matters relevant to debt fundraising and transaction structuring.
• Contribute to business development efforts by identifying, pitching, and winning mandates from clients in targeted sectors.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality work products, including IMs, term sheets, financial models, and lender presentations.
• Mentor and manage junior team members and help in building internal capabilities and knowledge sharing.
• Keep abreast of market trends, investor appetite, and regulatory developments in debt capital markets.
