Job Description :

Role Overview:

The Executive Technical Support – Lithium Cells (Import and Corporate Sales) will be an entry-level role designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the technical, import, and sales processes related to lithium-ion cells. The trainee will assist the technical support and corporate sales teams, learning the nuances of product selection, customer support, importation, and regulatory compliance. The role is an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of lithium-ion cell technology and its applications, as well as the logistics and sales support processes involved in bringing these products to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support Learning & Assistance:

  • Customer Query Support: Assist senior technical support staff in addressing technical inquiries from customers about lithium-ion cell specifications, performance, and application in various industries.
  • Documentation Management: Help organize and maintain technical documentation, including datasheets, product manuals, troubleshooting guides, and safety documentation for lithium-ion products.
  • Training Materials Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of internal training materials and technical presentations for corporate clients, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Product Testing and Evaluation: Support product testing and evaluation processes by assisting with sample testing, performance assessments, and compiling results to ensure product quality before customer delivery.

2. Import and Regulatory Compliance Exposure:

  • Import Coordination: Assist in the coordination of lithium-ion cell imports, working with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance Documentation: Support the preparation and management of import documentation, including safety certifications (e.g., UN38.3, IEC 62133, UL 2054, EPR E waste, MSDS, EPC, Transport Safety, CB), customs paperwork, and product certificates.
  • Supplier Communication: Help maintain communication with suppliers regarding product availability, shipment tracking, and potential issues related to product quality or import timelines.

3. Corporate Sales Support:

  • Sales Assistance: Support the corporate sales team by providing technical information and assisting with the preparation of sales proposals for large-scale clients, ensuring that technical specifications match customer requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, assisting in the preparation of technical presentations or product demonstrations, and learning how to communicate product benefits and technical features.
  • Lead Management: Help track and manage corporate leads by updating client information in the CRM system, assisting with follow-ups, and maintaining customer records.
  • Product Customization Support: Learn how to assist clients in the selection and configuration of lithium-ion cell solutions, providing technical support in customizing battery systems based on specific use cases (e.g., electric vehicles, energy storage systems).

4. Cross-Functional Team Exposure:

  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with senior technical support and product development teams to gain exposure to the end-to-end process of providing technical assistance, product customization, and integration.
  • Internal Training and Knowledge Sharing: Participate in internal training sessions to improve product knowledge, understanding of lithium-ion technology, and familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Team Assistance: Assist other departments such as operations, logistics, and product management with technical or operational tasks when needed.

5. Market and Product Research:

  • Market Insights: Conduct market research under the guidance of senior staff to understand industry trends, customer needs, and emerging lithium-ion technologies.
  • Product Feedback: Support the collection of customer feedback related to product performance, relay insights to senior teams, and assist in product improvement discussions.
  • Competition Analysis: Knowledge of the products imported by competitors, Product Quality, Product Pricing, Product Usage, Commercials, etc.
  • Market Knowledge: Products available in market, Companies or retail users of products, Current Demand and Supply situation in Market, Estimating future demand in Market, etc.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Lithium-Ion Battery Basics: Basic knowledge or a keen interest in understanding lithium-ion battery technologies, including battery chemistries (e.g., LFP, NCM), performance factors (e.g., cycle life, energy density), and typical applications (e.g., energy storage, electric vehicles).
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to learn troubleshooting techniques related to lithium-ion battery performance and understand common issues like battery life, charge/discharge rates, and safety concerns.
  • Technical Documentation: Strong attention to detail in managing technical documentation, preparing reports, and updating datasheets and manuals.

Sales & Communication Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field (or pursuing a degree in one of these fields).
  • Experience:
    • No prior experience required; this is an entry-level position designed for fresh graduates or individuals looking to develop a career in technical support, sales, and import operations for lithium-ion products.
    • Interest in renewable energy, battery technology, Battery Materials, Battery Usage, Cells Design, Cell Chemistries,  is required
