About the role:
In the role, the concerned person is expected to manage a well-defined team of experienced claims
personnel for client servicing in commercial claim portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and provide claim-handling direction to team members with respect to investigation,
reserving, expense/ vendor management, and loss payment in accordance with Claims Best
Practices.
• Cross vertical experiences across different lines of business (Fire/Marine/Engineering etc.)
• Have a thorough understanding of the different financial and technical aspects of the claim
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the team to track critical TATs and discuss monthly
targets of claim settlement
• Ensure that all surveyor queries are responded to and intimated to the client
• Liaise with different stakeholders Client, insurance companies, surveyor, as and when
required, to ensure an effective closure of claims within defined TATs
• Monitor and report important performance metrics like IRDA data, balance scorecard for
claims management, claims settled within an agreed timeframe.
