Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the commercial operations of the shipyard, including procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations.

2. Developing and implementing commercial strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. 3. Negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure favourable terms and conditions. 4. Managing the procurement process, including sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for shipyard operations. 5. Monitoring market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.

6. Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.

7. Analyzing financial data and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of commercial strategies and make recommendations for improvement. 8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all commercial activities. 9. Leading and motivating a team of commercial professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

10. Representing the shipyard in meetings with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of commercial operations in the shipbuilding industry. The Shipyard General Manager - Commercial plays a crucial role in driving the success and profitability of the shipyard through effective commercial management.
