Job Description:

Job Purpose
"Perform legal document drafting and review with precision, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Expertly manage all legal formalities, staying current with Electricity Act amendments, and proactively updating the company. Diligently track and oversee secretarial compliance to safeguard our legal standing and reputation."

Role and Responsibilities

·        Legal Document Management: Draft, review, and manage legal documents, Suzlon Vestas or others operation maintenance contracts of renewable asset, and agreements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies.

·        Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with current laws of electricity MERC, GERC, CERC & others regulatory body, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure the company's activities remain compliant. Advise on necessary legal actions to maintain compliance and aware to apply petition at MERC, APTEL and other electricity department

Contract Drafting: Participate in contracts (Power purchase agreement, Asset purchase agreement, O&M, Company related documents and their due diligence. recommendations to protect the company's interests while fostering positive business relationships

·        Legal Advisory: Provide guidance and advice on matters of asset purchase, including contracts, agreements, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions etc. representing company at various legal platforms. Collaborate with internal and external legal counsels as and when required.

·        Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support decision-making processes and provide informed guidance on various legal matters and potential risks.

·        Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution and renewal.

Competencies / Skills

·        Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of local, national, and Electricity laws, regulations, and legal principles relevant to the company's industry.

·        Contract Law: Proficiency in contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation, with a keen eye for detail.

·        Research: Strong legal research skills, including the use of legal databases and other resources to support decision-making.
