Plan, lead and finalise a portfolio of statutory and group audit engagements from planning through to sign-off, within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Review working papers, audit files and financial statements for compliance with IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Manage, coach and review the work of audit seniors and associates; allocate resources and monitor engagement economics.
• Act as a senior client contact – manage relationships, resolve technical and accounting issues, and present findings to client management and audit committees.
• Ensure adherence to the firm's quality control, risk and independence policies; support engagement partners on technical consultations.
• Identify and follow up on business development / cross-selling opportunities across the firm's service lines.
• Contribute to training, technical updates and development of the audit team.
Skills:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / CPA) or equivalent.
• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Proven experience planning, executing and finalising external / statutory audits for medium-to-large entities.
• Hands-on experience with audit software / methodology (e.g. CaseWare or similar) and MS Office (advanced Excel).
• Sound understanding of UAE regulatory and free-zone audit requirements (or ability to acquire quickly).
• Strong leadership and team-management ability – able to run multiple engagements and teams concurrently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Client relationship management and stakeholder handling at senior level.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage busy-season pressure with professionalism and integrity
• UAE Corporate Tax and VAT knowledge; exposure to internal audit / advisory.
• Prior UAE / GCC audit experience and existing UAE audit-firm background.
• Industry specialisation (e.g. real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, trading).
• Arabic language ability (an added advantage, not mandatory).
