Job Description:

The Asset Manager – Fixed Assets will be responsible for managing, tracking, and monitoring all fixed assets across project sites. The role includes physical verification, maintaining movement records, supporting invoicing activities, and ensuring proper maintenance and disposal of assets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Fixed Asset Reporting & Verification

• Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register based on periodic physical verification
• Conduct site visits for verification of assets and ensure accurate reporting
• Reconcile physical assets with records and highlight discrepancies

2. Asset Movement Management

• Maintain movement register for assets across various sites
• Track assets transferred between locations and assets sent on hire
• Ensure proper documentation and approvals for asset movement

3. Invoicing & Receivables Coordination

• Prepare invoices in coordination with the finance team for assets given on hire
• Support billing processes and documentation
• Follow up on receivables to ensure timely collections

4. Asset Maintenance & Disposal

• Identify repairable assets and coordinate for repair and maintenance
• Monitor asset condition and usability
• Identify obsolete or scrap assets and process disposal as per company policy

5. Coordination & Control

• Coordinate with site teams, stores, and finance department for asset-related matters
• Ensure proper documentation, tracking, and internal control compliance
• Support audits related to fixed assets

Skills:

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineer (BE/B.Tech) or Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or related field
• Additional certification in asset management or accounting will be an advantage
