Job Purpose:
To manage day-to-day accounting operations, vendor/customer transactions, reconciliations, project-related accounting, statutory compliance support, and financial MIS for the real estate business.

Skills:
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Accounting
o Record purchase, sales, expense, receipt and payment entries.
o Maintain cash and bank books.
o Prepare and verify journal vouchers.
o Ensure proper accounting under applicable accounting standards.
2. Real Estate / Project Accounting
o Maintain project-wise accounting records.
o Track project expenses, construction costs and development costs.
o Monitor project-wise budgets versus actual expenditure.
o Assist in capitalization of project costs where applicable.
o Maintain records for land, construction, contractor and development expenses.
3. Vendor & Contractor Accounting
o Process contractor/vendor invoices after checking supporting documents.
o Verify GST, TDS and other applicable deductions.
o Maintain vendor ledgers and prepare vendor ageing.
o Reconcile vendor balances and resolve discrepancies.
4. Customer / Receivable Accounting
o Record customer receipts and adjustments.
o Maintain customer ledgers.
o Assist in collection and outstanding reports.
o Reconcile customer accounts with booking/allotment records.
5. Bank Reconciliation
o Prepare monthly/daily bank reconciliation statements.
o Investigate unmatched or unidentified transactions.
o Monitor bank receipts and payments.
6. GST & TDS
o Assist in GST reconciliation and return preparation.
o Verify Input Tax Credit (ITC).
o Calculate and account for TDS deductions.
o Support monthly TDS returns and certificate-related activities.
o Balance Sheet preparation & finalization.
7. MIS & Reporting
o Prepare monthly accounting MIS.
- Vendor ageing and customer outstanding reports.
- Project-wise expense reports.
- Cash-flow and payment reports.
- Budget vs. actual expenditure analysis.
8 Audit & Compliance
- Provide documents and schedules for statutory/internal audits.
- Maintain proper supporting documents and accounting records.
- Assist in audit queries and reconciliation requirements.
