Job Description:

We are looking for a highly creative, strategic, and ownership-driven Lead Brand Identity Designer to join our growing team.

This is not a traditional graphic design role.

Our company specializes in creating strategic, story-driven brand identities for business owners. Every logo we create is backed by deep research, symbolism, psychology, brand positioning, and a structured methodology.

The ideal candidate should be capable of transforming business insights into powerful visual identities and consistently creating multiple high-quality logo concepts with meaningful stories and strategic thinking behind them.

This role requires a combination of creative excellence, conceptual thinking, leadership, accountability, and innovation.

The Lead Brand Identity Designer will be responsible for creating logo concepts, developing brand identity systems, maintaining creative standards, guiding junior designers, and continuously improving our design processes.

1. Brand Discovery & Research

  • Conduct in-depth research on client businesses, industries, competitors, target audiences, and positioning.
  • Understand founder vision, business goals, values, and long-term aspirations.
  • Identify opportunities for meaningful differentiation.
  • Gather insights that can be translated into powerful brand identity concepts.

2. Logo Concept Development

  • Create 4-5 strong and unique logo directions for every project.
  • Develop multiple strategic approaches rather than visual variations of the same idea.
  • Explore symbolism, psychology, storytelling, geometry, and brand meaning.
  • Ensure every concept has a clear purpose and rationale.
  • Create original ideas rather than relying on trends, templates, or generic approaches.

3. Story-Driven Brand Identity Creation

  • Build compelling stories behind every logo concept.
  • Translate business vision into meaningful visual symbols.
  • Clearly communicate the strategic reasoning behind every design decision.
  • Create concepts that resonate emotionally while remaining strategically sound.

4. Logo Design & Brand Identity Systems

  • Design premium logos with strong visual impact and strategic depth.
  • Develop supporting brand identity elements where required.
  • Define typography, color systems, visual language, and brand consistency.
  • Ensure all design outputs meet premium quality standards.

5. Creative Leadership & Quality Control

  • Act as a senior creative contributor within the design team.
  • Support and mentor junior designers.
  • Review design work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Help establish and maintain creative standards across all projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal design systems and workflows.

6. Innovation & AI Adoption

  • Stay updated with global branding, logo design, and identity trends.
  • Actively explore and implement AI tools that improve research, ideation, concept development, storytelling, and workflow efficiency.
  • Bring fresh ideas, frameworks, and creative approaches to the team.
  • Continuously improve internal creative processes.

7. Ownership & Accountability

  • Take complete ownership of assigned projects from research to concept development and final delivery.
  • Meet deadlines consistently without requiring follow-ups.
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and blockers proactively.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Participate in daily and weekly reporting systems.
  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and accountability at all times.

8. Company Involvement

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s vision, methodology, services, and positioning.
  • Actively participate in creative discussions, brainstorming sessions, and strategic conversations.
  • Contribute ideas that improve client experience, design quality, and internal operations.
  • Operate as a core contributor to company growth rather than functioning as a task-based freelancer.
