Role Overview
For a mutual fund distributor – Individual (not a corporate), we are looking for an energetic and target-driven Sales Manager with strong knowledge of mutual funds and investment products. The candidate will be responsible for client acquisition, sales growth, and providing personalised financial solutions based on client needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across mutual funds, SIPs, insurance, and other investment products.
- Generate new business through client acquisition, field visits, networking, and referrals.
- Convert qualified leads into active long-term investors.
2. Client Advisory & Financial Planning
- Meet clients to understand their financial objectives, risk appetite, and investment preferences.
- Suggest appropriate investment products using financial planning concepts.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and advise clients on portfolio optimisation.
3. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and service.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by providing timely support on transactions, documentation, and online investment processes.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all sales practices follow SEBI, AMFI, IRDAI, and company compliance norms.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, client records, and MIS updates.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Sound understanding of mutual funds, SIPs, insurance products, asset allocation, taxation basics, and financial planning tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confident, persuasive, and excellent at objection handling.
- Target-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and digital investment platforms.
Skills:
Educational & Certification Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance,
Commerce, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- NISM-Series V-A Mutual Fund Distributors
Certification is a must.
- Additional certifications such as NISM,
IRDA, or CFP are an advantage.
