The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing and plant operations at the Mongla facility. The role demands a seasoned operations leader with strong expertise in production management, supply chain, process optimization, quality, cost management, and people leadership. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, productivity enhancement, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining global quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Plant Operations
- Lead complete plant operations including production planning, manufacturing, maintenance, and dispatch.
- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
- Implement lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and best operational practices.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement programs.
Supply Chain & Planning
- Oversee procurement planning, inventory control, material availability, and warehouse operations.
- Coordinate with sourcing, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure smooth supply chain flow.
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to product quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Establish strong quality control systems and drive zero-defect culture.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a large workforce including production managers, engineers, supervisors, and support functions.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Develop succession plans and strengthen organizational capabilities.
Strategic Operations
- Prepare and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and capacity expansion strategies.
- Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with senior management on long-term manufacturing and business growth initiatives.
Skills:
- Proven experience handling large manufacturing plants and managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in production planning, supply chain management, quality systems, and cost optimization.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exposure to international manufacturing operations or overseas plant management will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
