Job Preference:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing in reputed Freight Forwarding /Logistics Companies (Ocean/Air/NVOCC/customs clearance/transportation)
  • Computer savvy and having functional understanding of recent trends in process & technology trends in logistics/SCM 
  • In depth knowledge and experience of local Ocean/Air forwarding , Operations , customs clearance, transportation and related Documentation procedures and customer International Supply Chain flows. In depth knowledge of local regulatory, regional practices. 
  • Data-driven and process-minded. Able to articulate complex supply chain topics, meaningfully engage senior stakeholders and seek solutions in an ambiguous environment. Able to leverage technology or mobilize suitable stakeholders to implement solutions.
    Location- Hyderabad

Job Description:

Job Purpose / Brief Description-
  • This position reports to the Reginal Sales Manager with primary accountability for Sales and Revenue growth within a specific geographic area allotted. 
  • This position ensures implementation of sales strategies aligned with the objectives of the Branch, including sales targets and forecasting sales volumes.
  • Analyses market trends, monitors competitor activity and recommends improving sales strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities 
  • Frame Sales and Marketing strategic plan as per the guidelines of the Branch Head/Regional Sales Head-South and ensures best practices in Sales and Marketing are inculcated. 
  • Conduct market research and studies to assess potential for different markets, type of cargo and services as per the Branch’s focus areas. 
  • Generate Sales leads and create a healthy sales pipeline in quantity as well as quality. 
  • Achieve sales and profit targets for new and freehand business for all products. 
  • Leverage company value proposition to expand customer base and target large corporate accounts. 
  • Develop nomination business through leads and tapping overseas offices / agents. 
  • Engage the Pricing team/warehouse/CHB team for commercial procurement and service support. 
  • Visiting the major customers and continuous follow up to secure business.
  • Responsible for proper credit assessment -who gets credit, how much and number of days.
  • Responsible for accounts receivables and accessorial charge management as well as providing all documentation needed for claims resolution

  • Strong selling & presentation skills and have solid experience in working in a diverse cultural environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills, business-savvy and at ease with data-driven decision-making. 
  • Strategic thinking and strong networking abilities.
  • Knowledge of global freight forwarding operations and markets.
  • Good negotiation skills to close contracts with customers.
  • Energetic and well-motivated • Good communication skills in English. Communication in other local languages is an added advantage.
