- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing in reputed Freight Forwarding /Logistics Companies (Ocean/Air/NVOCC/customs clearance/transportation)
- Computer savvy and having functional understanding of recent trends in process & technology trends in logistics/SCM
- In depth knowledge and experience of local Ocean/Air forwarding , Operations , customs clearance, transportation and related Documentation procedures and customer International Supply Chain flows. In depth knowledge of local regulatory, regional practices.
- Data-driven and process-minded. Able to
articulate complex supply chain topics,
meaningfully engage senior stakeholders and
seek solutions in an ambiguous environment.
Able to leverage technology or mobilize
suitable stakeholders to implement
solutions.

Job Purpose / Brief Description-- This position reports to the Reginal Sales Manager with primary accountability for Sales and Revenue growth within a specific geographic area allotted.
- This position ensures implementation of sales strategies aligned with the objectives of the Branch, including sales targets and forecasting sales volumes.
- Analyses market trends, monitors competitor activity and recommends improving sales strategies.
- Frame Sales and Marketing strategic plan as per the guidelines of the Branch Head/Regional Sales Head-South and ensures best practices in Sales and Marketing are inculcated.
- Conduct market research and studies to assess potential for different markets, type of cargo and services as per the Branch’s focus areas.
- Generate Sales leads and create a healthy sales pipeline in quantity as well as quality.
- Achieve sales and profit targets for new and freehand business for all products.
- Leverage company value proposition to expand customer base and target large corporate accounts.
- Develop nomination business through leads and tapping overseas offices / agents.
- Engage the Pricing team/warehouse/CHB team for commercial procurement and service support.
- Visiting the major customers and continuous follow up to secure business.
- Responsible for proper credit assessment -who gets credit, how much and number of days.
- Responsible for accounts receivables and accessorial charge management as well as providing all documentation needed for claims resolution
