Education : Required: Graduate from a reputed institution. Preferred: Post-graduate / MBA , Logistics or Supply Chain Management specialization would be added advantage

Experiences • Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in Sales & Operations in reputed Freight Forwarding /Logistics Companies (Ocean/Air/NVOCC/customs clearance/transportation). 
• A minimum 5 years’ experience in heading any branch of reputed logistics companies, especially successful tenure with Indian based companies.
Computer savvy and having functional understanding of recent trends in process & technology trends in logistics/SCM 
• In depth knowledge and experience of local Ocean/Air forwarding, Operations, customs clearance, transportation and related Documentation procedures and customer International Supply Chain flows. 
In depth knowledge of local regulatory, regional practices. • Highly data-driven and process-minded leader. Able to articulate complex supply chain topics, meaningfully engage senior stakeholders and seek solutions in an ambiguous environment. Able to leverage technology or mobilize suitable stakeholders to implement solutions.
Location- Hyderabad.
Notice Period- 60days max or less

Job Description:

Job Purpose / Brief Description 
• This position reports to the Regional Head-South with primary accountability for leading and managing all activities including Sales/BD, Operations, Admin/Finance and overall team management to achieve business goals of Hyderabad Branch. • 

This position will be responsible for the P&L of the Hyderabad Branch. The position leads product development, vendor relations, operational excellence, sales process - customer acquisition and take ownership of volumes/revenues/CM growth. This role will work towards improving the effectiveness of overall Sales/ operations / service delivery and ensuring operational excellence of the branch, optimizing costs, and ensuring good service levels. •

 This position has full management responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling of all matters relating to Sales & Operations. Responsible for the implementation of strategy and development of sales & operations plan to achieve high customer satisfaction & account relationships, growth, and development. Ensure consistent, effective, and timely liaison with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with logistics requirements and meeting and/or exceeding KPI. • 

This role will provide leadership to create a strong integrated Sales & Operations, start outsourced ICD-CFS operations at strategic locations, customs, transportation and intermodal products in liaison with the Regional Head-South. 

Roles & Responsibilities

Ensure the branch office meets all budgeted sales and profit goals that are fixed by the Regional Head and own the profit or loss for the branch Office.
 • Leading and monitoring the performance of the Branch Office to ensure efficiency in process operations. 
• Ensure that the Company’s goals are clearly established, and strategies are in place to achieve them.
 • Generate and exchange leads within our group offices and associates. • Identifying new business opportunities and prospective customers and introduce full range of company’s products and services.
 • Ensure smooth operations, prompt customer service, error-free documentation work.
 • Drive a new strategy in consultation with the Regional Head to improve operational efficiency cost effectively and thereby ensure consistent growth of the Branch Office.
 • Analyse competitors’ pricing, current market trends across the region to take decision tactically for strong market penetration.
Ensure well defined operation process in force in the branch and company’s guidelines are implemented in key areas such as credit acceptance policy, minimum margin levels, routing order, corporate accounts etc. 
• Oversee Vendor Management to ensure quality service and vendor compliance. • Maintain excellent relationships and coordinating with the service providers/agents/liners/airlines for smooth execution of operation. 
• Maintain smooth relations with the major customers of the location and follow up to ensure smooth operations, repeat business and high customers satisfaction ratings.
 • Oversee and instruct the sales team to reduce level of outstandings in line with Credit Policies of the Company and taking consistent measures for reducing the cost of operations and staying within budget set by the Regional Head. 
• Ensuring that the Branch office adheres to the high standards of ethics and corporate behaviour. 
• Developing concepts for logistics industry and building brand in the logistics industry 
• Establishing SOPs for all key processes to ensure seamless operations. • Developing relationship with trade and industrial associations 
• Submitting MIS report to the regional head by 10th of every month.
