Brief JD: The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting, financial transactions, cash flow, and store-related records of the GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) manufacturing unit. The role involves maintaining accurate accounts, verifying daily expenses, ensuring timely payments, inventory reconciliation, and coordinating with vendors and the management team to maintain smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
Record all daily financial transactions including purchases, petty cash, wages, and operational expenses.
Maintain ledgers, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain records of accounts payable and receivable.
Assist in monthly and annual financial closing.
Ensure timely preparation of bills, invoices, and payment vouchers.
Monitor factory cash flow and maintain a cash register for daily usage.
2. Store & Inventory Management
Maintain updated records of stock in and stock out for raw materials, tools, and finished GFRC products.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
Verify material purchase bills and coordinate with the procurement team for material inflow.
Keep detailed documentation for inventory usage per project or production batch.
3. Vendor & Purchase Coordination
Verify vendor bills and ensure timely payments as per terms.
Reconcile supplier accounts and handle any discrepancies.
Support management in negotiating better rates and monitoring vendor performance.
4. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable statutory norms.
Maintain GST, TDS, and other statutory documentation in coordination with external accountants/CA.
Assist in internal and external audits.
5. Administrative & Support Functions
Support day-to-day administrative work related to factory operations.
Maintain employee attendance and wage disbursement records for factory staff.
Generate periodic expense summaries and submit to management.
