Job Description :

An Assistant Manager in Finance assists in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of an organization to CFO. This role involves collaborating with different departments to ensure financial stability, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Analysis:

  • Analyse financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial results.
  • Prepare financial models, forecasts, and projections to support decisionmaking processes.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and variances, making recommendations for cost control or revenue enhancement.

3. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Banking Compliances:

  • Prepare and submit data required by banks such as drawing power statement, renewal data, sales, working capital limit utilisation etc on monthly, quarterly, annually, and various periodic basis.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, FEMA compliances, accounting standards, and tax laws.

5. Letter of Credit Management:

  • Effectively managing all kind of loan disbursement and repayments such as letter of credit, buyer’s credit, FCNR, FCDL, bank guarantee, car loan etc.
  • Checking and confirming Letter of credit received from various customers and ensuring correct documentation preparation and submission.
  • Limit utilisation, payment, disbursement planning.

6. Expense Management:

  • Monitor and control expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Process and approve financial transactions and payments.
  • To ensure timely funds availability for required transactions.

7. Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital.
  • Cash flow MIS reports.

8. Financial Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager or Director to develop financial strategies and initiatives.
  • Support the evaluation of investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions.

9. Financial Systems and Tools:

  • Utilize financial software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.
  • Person should be skilled with latest technology- advanced excel, power BI, macro, automation skills etc.
  • Develop necessary SOPs for finance people and assist in developing new ERP software.

10. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate financial information and analysis to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

11. Team Leadership and Development:

  • If applicable, provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A master's degree (e.g., MBA or commerce professional degree such as CFA, CMA, CS, Semi Qualified CA,CA).
  • Several years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, finance management systems, and data analysis software.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum relevant experience of 5 years
