- Ensure implementation of safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices at the construction site.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
- Provide safety induction and toolbox talks to workers and contractors.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and submit detailed reports.
- Maintain site safety records, checklists, permits, and statutory registers.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of tools, equipment, and construction materials.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and workers to promote a safety-first culture.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and waste management at the site.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Factories Act, Building & Other Construction Workers Act, etc.).
- Assist in conducting mock drills and emergency response preparedness. REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Industrial Safety or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction (Residential projects mandatory).
- Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Good communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.
