Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Production Operations functional head to lead and manage our jewelry manufacturing operations. Primarily the responsibilities would include formulating and implementing operational strategies, driving process efficiencies, improving production output, ensuring quality and thus enhancing the overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in manufacturing leadership working with G&J industry and led cross-functional teams toward continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Leadership:
Formulate the Annual Production Performance target and implement overall operational strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Provide strong leadership and guidance.
Serve as a confident decision-maker, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
Manufacturing & Operations:
Execute of annual manufacturing plans / AOP, daily/monthly production schedules
Ensure production targets are met as per daily, weekly and monthly schedules. Drive output volumes in alignment with delivery commitments, inventory norms and quality benchmarks.
Ensure the manufacturing consistently meet the efficiency targets in areas of machine productivity, material, labor utilization, overhead control etc.
Ensure any process loss are within the set parameters and standards.
Ensure quality control at each stage of production and first-time-acceptance (FTA) approach to reduce internal rejections and customer returns.
Monitor manufacturing performance (budgeted v/s actual) and initiate improvement strategies for growth. This may include lean manufacturing principles like Kaizen / JIT / Kanban.
Process Improvement & Performance Management:
Strategies and implement a robust performance tracking system covering KPIs for manufacturing, manpower, quality, and costs.
Continuously seek opportunities and lead implementation of cost-reduction initiatives.
Infrastructure, People & Workforce Management:
Oversee technical maintenance of plant and machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
Promote workforce training to enhance flexibility, reduce labor cost and ensure succession planning.
Drive employee development and performance to foster a high-productivity environment.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with Sales and PD teams to align production with customer requirements.
Analyse MIS reports on a daily / weekly / monthly basis and suggest corrective action as needed to the management (OTIF, Metal Loss, Diamond Loss, Employee Productivity, Rejection/Return)
Lead or contribute to special cross-functional projects as per business needs.

Education & Qualifications:
Graduate, preferably bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.E. Mech)
MBA in Operations or related field is a strong advantage
Experience:
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in jewelry manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience managing end-to-end production in a manufacturing setup.
Skills & Competencies:
Deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes.
Process-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Excel, EMR or other software / tools in the industry. ? Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong integrity and professional ethics.
