Job Description – HR Lead / Head


Key Responsibilities

 Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategy in alignment with business vision and growth plans.
  • Serve as advisor to the CEO/MD on people-related decisions and organizational design.
  • Build, lead, and mentor the HR team to deliver consistent support across all locations.
  • Drive culture-building initiatives, employee engagement, and leadership development.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for Corporate, Estate, Café, and Operations roles.
  • Partner with external consultants, recruiters, and platforms (Indeed, Naukri, etc.) to source top talent.
  • Establish robust hiring pipelines for estate management, hospitality, and café operations.
  • Ensure timely closure of positions with strong employer branding initiatives.

Payroll, Compliance & HR Operations

  • Supervise payroll processing, wage calculations, and salary disbursements across geographies.
  • Coordinate with CA/Finance team for TDS, statutory compliances, and PF filings.
  • Ensure HRMS  is effectively utilized for attendance, documentation, and reporting.
  • Standardize HR documentation: Offer letters, NDAs, Appointment letters, 
  • Performance Management & Learning
  • Implement PMS (Performance Management System) across departments.
  • Drive KRA/KPI alignment with business outcomes.
  • Oversee confirmation, appraisals, and promotions with transparency.
  • Introduce training programs (technical, soft skills, POSH, equal opportunity, etc.).

 Policy & SOP Development

  • Create, review, and implement HR policies – separation, equal opportunity, attendance, grievance redressal, etc.
  • Establish SOPs for estates, cafés, and HO to ensure process consistency.
  • Maintain an updated organizational chart and reporting structure.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the point of escalation for grievances, disciplinary issues, and integrity concerns.
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure structured handovers.
  • Build employee engagement programs that strengthen loyalty and reduce attrition.
  • Partner with Estates and Outlets to ensure safe, compliant, and motivating work environments.

Leadership Support & Projects

  • Drive HR input for strategic projects (new café openings, expansion hiring, etc.).
  • Manage HR reporting for board-level reviews and compliance submissions.
  • Oversee special projects – diversity & inclusion, training, policy reforms, HR automation.

Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, payroll, and compliance (PF, TDS, Shops & Establishments Act).
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Proficiency in HRMS systems, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience in hospitality, F&B, retail, or agriculture/estate sector preferred.
