Service Technician

  • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or related trade.
  • 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Service Engineer

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on and customer-focused Service Technician / Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown service, troubleshooting, and repair of forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites.

The candidate should have strong technical skills, good troubleshooting ability, and a willingness to work in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend customer sites for breakdown, preventive maintenance, installation, and service calls.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues in forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance as per recommended service schedules.
  • Perform inspections, servicing, repairs, and replacement of defective components.
  • Handle electric, battery-operated, diesel/LPG forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot systems such as:
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Electrical circuits
  • Motors and controllers
  • Batteries and charging systems
  • Steering and braking systems
  • Transmission and drivetrain
  • Mast, lifting, and hydraulic assemblies
  • Sensors, switches, and control systems
  • Carry out equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and handover.
  • Attend emergency breakdown calls and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
  • Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the Service Manager and technical team for complex issues.
  • Maintain proper service reports, job cards, inspection reports, and spare-parts requirements.
  • Explain equipment operation, basic maintenance, and safety practices to customers/operators.
  • Ensure service calls are closed within committed timelines.
  • Identify genuine spare-parts requirements and coordinate with the stores/service team.
  • Support AMC/CMC customers and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures while working at site.

  • Good communication and customer-handling skills
  • Ability to work independently at customer locations
  • Good reporting and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Valid driving licence preferred
