Below is a job description outlining the responsibilities and duties associated with this position: 1) Subcontractor Selection and Evaluation: a) Identifying potential subcontractors and outsourcing partners based on project requirements, capabilities, and past performance. b) Evaluating subcontractors through assessments, reference checks, and reviews of qualifications, certifications, and track records.
2) Contract Negotiation and Management: a) Negotiating subcontracting agreements and outsourcing contracts, including terms and conditions, scope of work, pricing, deliverables, and timelines. b) Ensuring that contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and protect the interests of the shipyard.
3) Vendor Relationship Management: a) Building and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and outsourcing vendors to foster collaboration, communication, and mutual understanding. b) Addressing any issues or disputes that may arise during the course of subcontracted work, such as delays, quality issues, or contract deviations.
4) Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance: a) Monitoring the performance of subcontractors and outsourcing partners to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and quality standards. b) Conducting regular inspections, audits, and reviews of subcontracted work to verify adherence to project requirements and specifications.
