Job Description:

We are seeking a Treasury Lead with 6–8 years of hardcore corporate treasury experience in loan agreement negotiation with banks, cash flow planning, and end?to?end banking operations in a fast?paced e?commerce/retail or allied environment. The role will independently own the full treasury stack – from WCDL/SBLC and loan documentation to cash?flow forecasting, BRS, compliances, audit support, and senior?management MIS – while leading process improvements and acting as the primary interface with bankers and internal stakeholders.

  1. Banking operations ownership
  • Independently oversee and execute daily banking transactions: vendor payments, marketplace settlements, statutory dues, employee reimbursements, and inter?bank fund movements across multiple bank relationships.
  • Ensure strong control on cut?off timings, dual authorization, and documentation for all treasury payments.
  1. Loan agreements & WCDL lifecycle management
  • Lead end?to?end working capital and term loan processes – from term sheet evaluation, covenant analysis, and loan agreement negotiation with banks to documentation closure.
  • Own the complete WCDL cycle: drawdown requests, utilization tracking, repayment scheduling, interest computation, limit renewals, and covenant compliance, ensuring zero delays or default.
  1. SBLC / BG management
  • Manage issuance, renewal, amendment, and closure of Standby Letters of Credit and other bank guarantees.
  • Maintain a robust register of all SBLC/BG instruments with validity, value, and purpose; proactively coordinate with banks and business teams on expiry and collateral requirements.
  1. Bank reconciliation (BRS)
  • Own daily and monthly BRS across all bank accounts, including payment gateways and marketplace accounts.
  • Set up systematic workflows for open?item identification and closure; drive a “zero?outstanding beyond agreed SLA” culture.
  1. Cash?flow forecasting & fund planning
  • Build and maintain short?term (daily/weekly) and medium?term (monthly/quarterly) cash?flow models at entity and group level.
  • Monitor daily liquidity, anticipate funding gaps, and recommend deployment of surplus funds or drawdown of facilities to optimize interest cost.
  1. Accounting & Tally ERP
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all treasury?related entries in Tally ERP – JVs, payment vouchers, contra entries, interest accruals, and period?end adjustments – with full supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with the GL, AP, and tax teams for smooth month?end and year?end closing.
  1. MIS & treasury analytics
  • Design, publish, and continuously improve weekly and monthly treasury MIS dashboards, covering: bank balances, fund positions, payment summaries, WCDL utilization, interest cost trends, covenant status, and variance?to?plan for Finance leadership.
  • Provide actionable insights on cost of funds, idle cash, and utilization efficiency; suggest optimization levers.
  1. Audit management
  • Lead preparation of treasury schedules and evidence for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Proactively close prior?period audit observations related to treasury and strengthen controls to target “nil observations” in subsequent audits.
  1. Compliance & risk controls
  • Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies, banking covenants, RBI guidelines, and statutory payment timelines (TDS, GST, PF, ESIC, etc.).
  • Flag potential covenant breaches, document lapses, or operational risks in advance to the Finance Head and help implement mitigating actions.
  1. Banking & stakeholder management
  • Act as the primary treasury interface with banks and financial institutions for limits, pricing, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, and Marketplace Finance teams to align cash?flow planning with business decisions.
  1. Process improvement & automation
  • Identify bottlenecks in treasury processes (payments, reconciliations, loan documentation, MIS collation) and propose technology or process solutions (Tally automation, bank API, Excel models, etc.)
  • Lead implementation of approved initiatives to reduce manual effort, TAT, reconciliation issues, and interest leakage.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products – WCDL, CC/OD, SBLC, BGs, term loans, and trade finance.iimjobs+1
  • Advanced Excel skills for cash?flow modelling and MIS automation.
  • Hands?on experience with Tally ERP and internet banking platforms.
