Job Description:

We are looking for a C&I BESS Technical Solutions Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and deployment of Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions across India. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales engineering, system design, and project execution, and is ideal for professionals who enjoy technical ownership, customer-facing discussions, and building scalable solutions in a startup environment. The candidate will work closely with business development, EPC partners, OEMs, and internal execution teams to deliver technically sound and commercially viable energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

• Design C&I BESS solutions including system architecture, sizing, and configuration.
• Perform load analysis and application assessment (peak shaving, backup, TOU optimization, solar + storage).
• Prepare technical proposals, design notes, and supporting documents.
• Develop SLDs, system layouts, and integration drawings.
• Support RFQs, tenders, and customer technical discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with Indian grid codes, safety standards, and site conditions.

System Integration & EMS

• Support EMS functional design and control philosophy during pre-sales.
• Define operating logic for grid-connected and hybrid systems.
• Coordinate requirements for EMS, SCADA, BMS, PCS, and communication architecture.
• Support integration with rooftop solar, DG sets, and utility grid.

Partner & Customer Support

• Provide technical support to EPC partners and system integrators.
• Review partner designs and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations.
• Support technical training and documentation development.

Skills:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or related field.

Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in BESS, solar + storage, or distributed energy systems.
• Experience in pre-sales engineering, system design, or technical solutions preferred.
• Exposure to C&I energy storage applications is highly desirable.
• Startup or fast-growing renewable energy experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• Battery energy storage systems (preferably LFP-based)
• PCS/inverters and protection systems
• Grid-connected and hybrid architectures
• Working knowledge of Indian electrical and grid standards.
• Familiarity with EMS, SCADA, and communication protocols.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and technical documentation tools.
