Ford to cut 25,000 jobs in Europe - Morgan Stanley

Automotive News reported that Ford's USD 11 billion restructuring could cost 25,000 employees their jobs, with Europe bearing the brunt of the cuts, according to Morgan Stanley. Ford has yet to detail its job cuts, but Morgan Stanley analyst Mr Adam Jonas predicts they could be larger than General Motor’s in a note to investors. He said that "We estimate a large portion of Ford’s restructuring actions will be focused on Ford Europe, a business we currently value at negative USD 7 billion. But we also expect a significant restructuring effort in North America, involving significant numbers of both salaried and hourly UAW and CAW workers


IIT Roorkee sees close to 16% jump in total offers in first three days of placements

IIT Roorkee has registered a 15.9% jump in total number of offers in the first three days of placements. The institute had 569 offers in the first three days, compared to 491 offers in the corresponding period last year. 

A total of 94 companies visited the campus in the first three days. Recruiters included Deloitte, Futures First, MagicPin, Mfine, Quantile, Samsung Noida, Swiggy, Veritas, Zomato, among others. 

OYO Rooms offered the maximum number of offers at 22.
